R. Alan Davenport

DNP, MS, CRNA, APRN

Dr. Davenport grew up in Middle Tennessee and obtained his undergraduate nursing education at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. A former Paramedic, and with extensive experience in both the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit of what was Baptist Hospital and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care “Pods” of what is now St. Thomas West Hospital, he was accepted into Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia where he received the Janssen Pharmaceutical Award as the outstanding graduate in 1986.

With approximately 40 years of clinical anesthesia and intensive care experience, Dr. Davenport received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where his extensive work focused on multi-modal opioid sparing methods to reduce narcotic needs both during and after surgery. The anti-inflammatory effects of multiple intravenous medications and nutrient infusions, including but not limited to moderate and high dose Vitamin-C, and the ability of sub-anesthetic low dose Ketamine to help patients with depression and chronic pain, has led to IntraVenous Solutions becoming a wellness center with an evidence based clinical focus.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to practice and to the betterment of the profession, the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists Board of Directors presented Dr. Davenport with the 2017 Practitioner of the Year Award at their annual meeting in Murfreesboro. As President and Director of Clinical Services for both Mid South Anesthesia, PC and IntraVenous Solutions, PC, Dr. Davenport strives to foster clinical excellence in all areas of health care.

Satisfied Clients

  • After consulting with Dr. Alan he informed me on an infusion called EBOO. After one infusion my knee pain went away. After 2 sessions my shoulder pain disappeared. I would hands down recommend anyone to reach out and book with them.

I have been working with Dr. Alan for a little over a month. I have struggled with multiple health issues and complications for years with an auto immune disease called Lupus SLE. My husband found Intravenous Solutions to try Ozone. After consulting with Dr. Alan he informed me on an infusion called EBOO. We decided to try it to see if it would help. I’m also a full time dancer so I struggle with inflammation in my joints. After one infusion my knee pain went away. After 2 sessions my shoulder pain disappeared. I have no daytime fatigue anymore and my sleep at night is regular for the first time in a decade. I would hands down recommend anyone to reach out and book with them. They are kind, very intelligent, and extremely professional. I can now work normal hours without having to take days off from having so much inflammation. Thank you so much for how much you have helped me.
